Phil Robinson, who has attended TCBC for several years suffered a stroke this morning. He was in surgery having a deep brain stimulator implanted to help control his Parkinson’s symptoms. He has a breathing tube and is being monitored to make sure the brain bleed that caused the stroke doesn’t get any worse. He is at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Please pray for his recovery.

Thank you for continuing to partner in prayer for my foot. The treatments attempted just before Christmas only increased pain and/or didn’t improve symptoms. I continue to talk with many doctors to see if we can get to the bottom of this. I should be scheduled soon for an EMG, which is an answer to prayer because I’ve been wondering about nerve issues this whole time. Pray for understanding from insurance and helpful information to move forward from the testing. Thank you!

A TCBC college grad, Alyssa, went to grad school in San Francisco. It appears that people are lately floating down the streets of San Francisco on debris from flooding, so I would appreciate prayer both for those affected and for Alyssa's safety and representation of Christ in this emergency.

I've been taking care of my dad since he had some major strokes in January 2022. He requires 24/7 care. This new year's day (2023), he had a seizure at 2am. Fortunately, I was there and got help right away. We just got home from the ER and he is stable. Trying to get meds on a national holiday is difficult. Please continue to pray for us - for his health (physical improvements, avoiding infection and sores from paralysis, avoiding illnesses, regaining swallow reflex), for my physical and mental health as caretaking is very isolating. Thank you in advance for your prayers and care.

Thanks for all the prayer and encouragement. I had an MRI last week (thanks for praying—I got a much earlier appointment than initially). I’ve seen two doctors this week and am trying some things for what they think is the issue. Pray that this indeed is the problem (can be hard to be certain) and that I respond well to treatment options! My pain has been much more manageable than a few weeks ago.

Please pray for our granddaughter, Emmie. About 3 weeks ago, she almost made it off the steroids she has been on for the last three years. After a day, she needed to go back on these steroids. This may be a 2 month set back. This week she will be back at the Children's Hospital in Iowa City to receive injections into her joints. This will be done under anesthesia. Please pray for a successful reduction of steroids to the point where she does not need them, for the effectiveness of the injections and her successful recovery from the anesthesia. We appreciate your continual prayers for this sweet girl and for walking with us into the miracle God has for her.

I desire to seek God’s will in my life… proverbs 3:6 says in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.

Pray that God gives me the strength and desire to seek his will and that the Lord will show me the way I should go, so that I do His will with confidence..

pray God frees me from confusion and fear.. especially fear of man because “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.” Pray that I will always trust in God and do his will with confidence and a joyful heart.
