In Every Service, we strive to
Lift up the name of Jesus. We love singing together, even on Zoom, and on any given Sunday you may hear a classic hymn, a contemporary chorus, a Gospel anthem, or a song in multiple languages. You’ll also find a variety of liturgical worship practices: responsive readings, corporate prayers, silence and reflection, and others.
Study God’s Word together. At the heart of our service is a sermon, approximately 30 minutes long, that focuses on the Bible, the life-giving truth of the Gospel, and how it can apply to our lives.
Gather Together as a Community. Our online worship services aren’t meant to be one-way broadcasts, but instead communal spaces where we can actually see and encourage one another as we seek God together. That’s why we encourage everyone to turn their video on if they are comfortable.
Be transformed in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Instead of valuing flashy productions that are meant to be passive entertainment, we want our worship services to be places where we can be transformed by God. You might be invited to take a step of faith, a risky act of love, or apply a Biblical truth in a way that may feel uncomfortable, but will ultimately help you grow spiritually.
Go out as Witnesses. As we worship, we begin to care about the things that God cares for: the whole world. Every Sunday we are sent out to be agents of Gospel transformation to our campus, our community, and our world.
Where do I park?
Sunday Mornings
The parking lot behind the church is for senior/handicapped parking. The McKinley Health Center parking lot (across Lincoln Ave.) and the parking garage west of McKinley (corner of Dorner&Gregory) are open for TCBC’s use on Sunday mornings.
During the Week
Our parking lot is open during the week. If it is full, please note that unless you have an Urbana parking permit, you cannot park on the side streets around TCBC before 3:00 PM. Please check in at the church office for a parking pass.
What About My Kids?
We believe kids should have a blast at church every week. Currently there are classes during the service for kids birth-5th grade for the summer months. Sunday school is available at 9:00 while school is in session.
We will have volunteers to greet you and guide you through the process of registering and checking in your kids. We are passionate about making sure you are comfortable with leaving your children in our care. Our volunteers are ready to answer any questions you may have.
