Please pray for our granddaughter Emmie and her parents Callie and David. Wednesday begins the process of genetic matching that will be used to find a compatible donor for a bone marrow transplant for Emmie. Emmie will be typed to determine who will be a match. Callie and David will be the first tested to see if they are compatible. Please pray that one of them are a match. The next “best” alternative would be one of her sisters Ellie (age 5) or Everlie (age 3). Pray that if neither Callie or David are matches that Pam and I would be acceptable for testing so the sisters don’t have to be even tested. There can be risks using such young siblings. Another possibility would be someone we are not aware of that would step up and be willing to be typed as a possible donor. Please pray for God’s generous provision.

Hey TCBC fam! Betsy Alderman and I are taking part in RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) starting on Sunday, July 24 and ending on Saturday, July 30, and we would appreciate your prayers! Please pray for 1) safety in the midst of 15,000+ cyclist pedaling up and down the Iowa hills; 2) endurance through whatever weather we encounter over the 450ish miles; and 3) peace, rest, and refreshment on the trip; and 4.) a good sense of humor when we set up our tent at the end of each day's ride! Watch for updates on Facebook once our adventure begins.

Please pray for my Aunt Mary (also my god-mother). It appears that she had a stroke last night. She is in the ER waiting for a bed in the ICU. They are trying to get her blood pressure under control to stop the bleeding. I've been told that ot "doesn't look good." To the best of my knowledge, she is not a believer.

Pray also for an intl friend - we knew many years ago - he now has lung cancer. Pray for healing for L - and that He and his wife would continue to trust in the Lord.

Thank you for the many prayers during Ellie's med change. She is fully on her new anticonvulsant and done with the four meds she was taking. We are grateful that she is only on one medicine right now! During the transition, she had one tiny seizure that lasted less than a minute and did not require rescue medicine. We continue to pray that this new medicine will decrease seizure activity. The new medicine has made it a bit difficult for Ellie to fall asleep at night, so we pray this side effect will subside in the next several weeks. Ellie has her first blood drawl this Wednesday, June 29. She will have bloodwork once a week for the next four weeks. We pray that her body (specifically her liver and kidney) is handling the new medicine fine with no complications. Thanks again for the prayers!

Please pray for the comfort for our neighbors sorrow and mourning, the Popescu family. The father (Gabi) was killed tragically in a motorcycle accident late last week and leaves behind two teenage children and wife. He was also a professor at Illinois.

We are so grateful to be with family in Maine, in particular my sister Katy and her family. May God continue to bless this time and bring memories that we can share later with one another after Katy passes. Thanks for your prayers! She is slowing down physically, but still laughs and jokes, and is grateful to God for everything despite her invasive brain cancer!
