I've been taking care of my dad since he had some major strokes in January 2022. He requires 24/7 care. This new year's day (2023), he had a seizure at 2am. Fortunately, I was there and got help right away. We just got home from the ER and he is stable. Trying to get meds on a national holiday is difficult. Please continue to pray for us - for his health (physical improvements, avoiding infection and sores from paralysis, avoiding illnesses, regaining swallow reflex), for my physical and mental health as caretaking is very isolating. Thank you in advance for your prayers and care.

Please pray for our granddaughter, Emmie. About 3 weeks ago, she almost made it off the steroids she has been on for the last three years. After a day, she needed to go back on these steroids. This may be a 2 month set back. This week she will be back at the Children's Hospital in Iowa City to receive injections into her joints. This will be done under anesthesia. Please pray for a successful reduction of steroids to the point where she does not need them, for the effectiveness of the injections and her successful recovery from the anesthesia. We appreciate your continual prayers for this sweet girl and for walking with us into the miracle God has for her.

I desire to seek God’s will in my life… proverbs 3:6 says in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
Pray that God gives me the strength and desire to seek his will and that the Lord will show me the way I should go, so that I do His will with confidence..
pray God frees me from confusion and fear.. especially fear of man because “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.” Pray that I will always trust in God and do his will with confidence and a joyful heart.

Ran out of time at the sharing service but I wanted to share a praise and prayer request.
Praise God for the report at Monday’s doctor’s appointment. Doctors confirmed that my vision is now 20/60. This is the second time we’ve seen improvement. First from 20/100 to 20/70 and now from 20/70 to 20/60. My vision has felt better but it’s hard to tell day to day. My ping pong partner has thought my eyes were completely healed already because he noticed that my ping pong game improved. Praise God.
The goal is 20/20.
I believe that Jesus desires to restore my vision completely and to provide me with a testimony of His compassion and lavish generosity to those He already gave His life for.
Please continue to pray for my vision to heal completely. I’m not scheduled to measure again til April, I’d love to stop using the accessibility zoom feature on my laptop by then. Pray also that God would put Words of encouragement in Jane and my heart and mouth to share with those around us.
