Children's Ministry - Immediate Openings

Kids in Midtown need Jesus too! Several present volunteers are studying abroad next semester. This is your chance to spend time with some great preschool kids and share Jesus with them. Scheduling is flexible so you can still attend worship services regularly at either Lincoln or Midtown. Contact Kay Miller, Minister of Christian Ed, or Bethany Sosnowski, Midtown Team Leader, for more information.

Praise Team

We’re looking for new Praise Team musicians! Vocalists and instrumentalists of all kinds for both the Lincoln and Midtown sites.  Experience playing or leading musical worship is a plus, but not a requirement. Absolutely essential is a desire to direct people’s attention and devotion to Jesus. Contact Pastor Steve – he would love to talk with you!

Audio Technicians

Do you have experience operating or maintaining a sound mixer or audio & music technology? The sound tech team is looking for new, capable operators for the sound systems at Lincoln & Midtown. The toys are fun, and the ministry to our church is immense!

Mandarin Translation of Services

If you are a speaker of both English and Mandarin, there are people in TCBC who could likely benefit from your gift! We are now offering real time translation of our 10:45 Lincoln worship service into Mandarin. We are looking for more English-to-Mandarin translators to add to our team. If this is a skill and a passion you have, please contact Heidi Hanson or Pastor Steve.

Welcome Center Team

Volunteers are needed to work on Sunday mornings in the TCBC-Lincoln Welcome Center in the foyer and at TCBC-Midtown. We’re looking for people with a heart to welcome & serve others and to demonstrate hospitality to guests.  You don’t need to be able to answer every question about the church!

First Saturday at empty tomb, inc.

empty tomb, inc. is a Christian organization that provides opportunities for volunteers to become involved in meeting various needs in Jesus' name. The primary areas that TCBC works in are: home maintenance, delivering donated furniture to needy households, and sorting through donated clothing.

TCBC volunteers help on the 1st Saturday of each month from 8:55AM-12PM. empty tomb is located at 301 N. Fourth St, Champaign.
